This important day is part of National Foster Care Month, which was implemented to recognize the efforts made by foster parents in the U.S. National Foster Care Day is our time to celebrate caregivers and the system that makes foster care possible.\nOn National Foster Care Day we recognize our 100+ Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) ( https://scanva.org/casa ) volunteers that give children in foster care a voice. Our Advocates are a critical part of helping children reach safe, permanent homes. The collective impact we have on foster youth in Alexandria and Arlington is because of their service.\n\n\n\n\n
