Child abuse is a reality for thousands of children, many of them right here in the DMV.
Laurie Tasharski is the Director of Institutional Abuse Prevention at Stop Child Abuse Now of Northern Virginia (SCAN).
Her organization helps to advocate children’s rights and put an end to abuse in all forms.
