Interfaith Survivor Forum
A safe space for sharing how child sexual abuse can affect survivors & learning how you can support them.
Child sexual abuse is far more common than most realize, and most (91%) of abuse is perpetrated by someone known and trusted by the child or child’s family members.
Join NOVA’s faith community this fall to listen and learn from survivors and child safety educators. Together we can make our community a safer place for our children.
Join us if you…
- Are a survivor
- Are a supporter of a survivor
- Want to learn how to support survivors
- Attendees must be 18+
A Q&A session will follow the panel talks and a trauma-informed counselor will be available during the event.
In partnership with First Baptist Church of Herndon, Mothers of Muslims (MOM) Network, Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation, St. John Neumann Catholic Community, Trinity Presbyterian Church of Herndon, and Diane Tarantini (Author of The Brave Knight)
